Olbrich Botanical Gardens

When you stay at AmericInn Hotel & Suites Madison South, you'll only be two miles from this stunning destination. Discover 16 acres of outdoor display gardens that feature roses, perennials, and a variety of herbs.  Make sure to spend some quality time in the Bolz Conservatory, a glass pyramid that's 50 feet high. Inside you'll get to see everything from blooming orchids and tropical plants to flying birds and a waterfall.

 Outdoor Garden admission is free. Bolz Conservtory admission is $2 (children 5 & under are free).
 

Hours -

 Outdoor Garden hours vary throughout the year. Bolz Conservatory is open Monday-Saturday 10:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 to 5:00 p.m.

  • When are tours given at Olbrich Botanical Gardens?

    Guided tours of the outdoor display gardens are available weekdays from June through August. Tour times are between the hours of 10:00 a .m. and 3:00 p.m. If you’d like to see the gardens from September through May, this can be arranged but only by a special request. As for Bolz Conservatory, guided tours are given all year long Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In addition, you can take a self-guided tour. Groups of 15 or more are requested to call 608-246-4550 at least two weeks in advance to make a reservation.
  • Am I allowed to take photographs in the gardens?

    You are most welcome to bring your camera to Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Feel free to snap away at any of the plants or flowers that inspire you. It’s important to remember, however, that only photographs for personal use are permitted. If you’re planning to take photographs of people for an event, such as a wedding, graduation or prom, you’ll need to obtain a permit.
